This week in Workhorse Art, I have finished a custom piece I illustrated from a famous photo of Joe Perry as shown in the 1978 Live album, "Live Bootleg". During my high school years and even now, I prefer Aerosmith because of their gritty / double guitar infused sound. While I don't approve of all of their songs subject matter or the history of drug and alcohol abuse, there can be no denying their incredible musical talent and cohesiveness as a band. I also have considered Joe Perry and Brad Whitford as two guitar aficionados who deserved far more recognition than they were given. This piece today was finished by my usual sketch, ink and water color wash process and based on the photo seen to the far margin ( it was originally seen inside the fold of the double live album). My piece is not a perfect reproduction but I put my own touch on this classic pose of Joe with his BC Rich guitar. Custom illustration as well as contract graphic work is what I do. Follow me and my work on Facebook or my website www.workhorseart.com Thanks for viewing. Gerald V Jones I just wanted to take the opportunity to share some of the most recent custom artwork / sketches that I have had the pleasure of doing for some associates of mine since custom artwork is the field in which I specialize . Each image shown in this blog starts out with something a customer might want or a project I want to put before them. I sketch the design on basic paper, hand ink it and in some cases, scan the art so as to vectorize it or prep it for poster or screen print.
In any case, if you or somone you know might like a custom piece drawn, painted and produced, feel free to contact me, Gerald Jones at 404 406 3084 or through my website at www.workhorseart.com. Email is just as suitable of course at info@artbygvjones.com. From Clint Eastwood to the Mustang muscle car, my scope is versatile and budget friendly. Sincerely, Gerald V. Jones / Workhorse Art |
